For our topic this half term Year 3 are studying the Stone Age. We researched different types of cave art paintings found across caves in Europe and discovered that most of them told a story. We then used our research information to sketch our own cave art paintings. Once we were happy with them we used chalk and charcoal to draw them on different surfaces.
On Friday year 3 went on a trip to the National Maritime Museum. We were lucky enough to explore the hands on galleries and look through time at the different voyages that took place throughout history! It was a fantastic day, finishing with a view of the Cutty Sark!
Every Tuesday year 3 have Half Moon come in to teach them maths!
They are given a range of hands on activities to complete, using their maths knowledge to help the Half Moon team solve a weekly mystery. It is a fun experience that we are lucky enough to engage with every week. |
